This is the central building of the University of Antwerp Campus which has 8 auditoriums, 4 research rooms, 2 microscope rooms and 1 room for practical lessons. Thes facilities are distributed throughout a building of 1 basement and 4 storeys above ground. The building has capacity for 2,500 people.
OJP constructed the foundations and superstructure in reinforced concrete made in situ in almost all of the building, with the exception of the honeycomb slabs and pre-fabricated pre-slabs, also the pre- fabricated TT beams; most of the concrete elements remain visible as part of the design; construction of the metallic structure with the insertion of various metal elements (pillars and beams); the floors have a polished concrete finish; visible non-structural concrete block masonry.
